Natural stone is derived from many types according to its generation factors. The most common classification is to divide stone into four categories: sandstone, slate, marble and granite.

1. Sandstone:

Sandstone is actually sedimentary rock, which is coarse and loose and may be loosely deformed when affected with moisture. However, due to its unique concave and rough texture, it is closer to the rough and natural feeling among mountains and forests, so it is often used for wall decoration.

2. Slate

Slate is a kind of metamorphic rock with plate structure and basically no recrystallization. The original rock is argillaceous, silty or neutral tuff, which can be peeled into thin sections along the plate structure direction. The color of slate varies with the impurities it contains. Iron-containing slate is red or yellow. Carbon-containing slate is black or gray. Calcium-containing slate will bubble when exposed to hydrochloric acid, so it is generally classified by its color, such as green slate, black slate, calcareous slate, etc.
